Andrea De Palma

PhD Researcher - Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management

Andrea De Palma is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM), Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he is the main researcher involved in the W-MIC project. Andrea holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Glasgow, an MSc in Social Psychology from Utrecht University, and an MSc in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Padova. Prior to the PhD, he worked as an Outcomes Researcher at ICON plc, where he gained experience in applied health outcomes research. His research interests centre on outcome measurement approached from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.

Elly Stolk

Professor - EuroQol Research Foundation & Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management

Elly Stolk is Professor of Measurement and Valuation of Health at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Scientific Director at the EuroQol Research Foundation. She earned her PhD at ESHPM in 2005, where she also served as assistant professor (2008–2016) and has co-directed the Erasmus Choice Modelling Centre since 2014. Elly joined the EuroQol Research Foundation part-time in 2013 and transitioned to a full-time role in 2016, holding various positions before being appointed Scientific Director in 2021. In 2022, she resumed her academic role at Erasmus University, balancing her expertise across academia and EuroQol. Her research focuses on quality of life assessment using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and health preference methods like Time Trade-Off (TTO) and Discrete Choice Experiments (DCE). With over 100 publications, she also serves as associate editor for Value in Health and is on the editorial board of Pharmacoeconomics.

Job van Exel

Full Professor - Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management

Job is a full professor of Health Economics at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM), Erasmus University Rotterdam. He obtained his MSc in Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1995 and his PhD at VU Amsterdam in 2011. Before joining ESHPM, He worked as transport economist at the Netherlands Economic Institute (NEI) from 1995 to 2000 and as health economist at the institute for Medical Technology Assessment (iMTA) from 2000 to 2006. From 2016 to 2021 he was professor of Economics & Values at Erasmus School of Economics. From 2018 to 2024 he was head of the Department of Health Economics at ESHPM. Since 2024 he is Director of Research and Vice Dean of ESHPM.

Aureliano Paolo Finch is a senior researcher at the EuroQol Research Foundation and Academia Matrix Program Lead / National Expert at European Medicines Agency. He is an senior scientist with several years of experience working in health economics. He obtained a PhD from The University of Sheffield in Health Economics and Decision Science
